Does anyone really need me to advise them if they have a positive mindset what the benefits would be simply by shifting their thoughts from negative to positive?
Everyone has to realise that when you have a positive mindset everything in your life seems better. Opportunities and possibilities keep coming your way. More often than not you’re smiling. Excited about the life you’re living.
Yet when we are negative the opposite will be true. Life seems to hard, nothing goes our way. It seems your frown is permanent, and you simply attract bad luck. Everyone lets you down, and life is just full of despair.
Why oh why then, when everyone knows the difference between a negative and positive mindset, do they choose to be negative.
Oh right, ok, it’s not a choice, it’s just the way things are.
There’s this great quote by Michael Jordan, let me share it with you:
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed”.
Many of you are going to say well that’s negative, it’s about failure. I say no it’s not. Because Michael Jordan never stopped believing in himself and knew he could be better tomorrow, have more luck, perform more at peak. Tomorrows always another day. He believed he would win. Only by taking part do you have a chance of winning. Fear won’t stop someone filled with a positive mindset.

We are of course referring here to simply bringing about a difference in attitude.
Despite all the shit that has happened to me on my life’s journey the one thing that no one could take away from me is my positivity. It is often the first thing people notice about me. It radiates from my facial expression, tone of voice as well as my body language.
I know that it actually is very easy to switch from a negative attitude to a positive one. All you have to do is pay attention to your thoughts as well as to the things you say and do.
If you take full control of your words and actions, and make sure that everything you do is helping you, and resolve to be positive every day you can be.
Life is a continuous series of problems. Right now your life is probably filled with problems of all kinds, large and small. And here am I telling you to be more positive. The problem is that the more you think about your problems, the more negative you become. The more negative you become the worse your problems get.
Let me just give you a very simple but challenging exercise that’s going to help you.
For the next 24 hours stop yourself from criticizing, judging, attacking, thinking or behaving in a negative way. Notice every time a negative emotion is triggered within you or that you say a negative comment whether out loud or to yourself. Be observant and catch every second of any form of negativity. And as you catch yourself doing it, shout out stop. Yes you can do this in your mind so people don’t think you’ve lost it. Then make a conscious effort to shift your perspective from negative to positive and think or say something that is positive.
If you have a problem come your way, think about the solution. The instant that you start thinking about what you can do, your mind calms and clears. You become positive and constructive. You are back in control.
Watch what happens when you make a conscious choice to see circumstances differently. As you choose positive responses over negative ones, you will certainly notice a shift in your perspective and your outlook.
